Recipe Starter: Brown Sugar Lavender Syrup

Homemade Brown Sugar Lavender Syrup comes from dissolving brown sugar into water (equal parts) over low heat, then stirring in a few teaspoons of lavender & vanilla extract (optional). Once the lavender becomes fragrant & the sugar has absorbed, the syrup is taken off heat & allowed to steep.

Make your own or try mine in a latte, my favorite way to enjoy! Share your own suggested recipes in the comments below.

Brown Sugar Lavender Latte

Add 2-3 fingers of syrup to your coffee mug, then fill halfway with coconut milk (I like the light sweetness of coconut + lavender in the summer but usually defer to oat milk the rest of the year—you can pick whatever milk you like; explore how it affects the flavor & texture of your drink). If you like your latte hot, warm the milk while you start your espresso.

Froth your milk, pour in your espresso, & take delight!
